Attic Insulation and Hidden Energy Loss

Many older Albuquerque homes were built to insulation standards far below today's recommended R-values. Owners often don't realize how much heated or cooled air they're losing through an under-insulated attic.

We measure insulation depth, identify the type (loose-fill, batt, spray foam), look for compression around recessed lights and HVAC equipment, and verify that bath fans actually vent to the exterior — not into the attic. Ventilation at soffits and ridge is documented as well.
